MAggie Hartzler LISW, CTRP-C
Maggie is an independently licensed social worker and a Certified Trauma and Resilience Practitioner who has worked at Tanager Place since 2006. She received her Bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy from Coe College, and her Masters in Social Work from St. Ambrose University. She is currently a Program Manager in the School Based Therapy Program, which provides therapeutic services and collaborative support to over sixty schools across eastern Iowa. She especially enjoys presenting to educators on ways they can support and understand mental wellbeing, trauma, and connection in the context of their classrooms and the school environment. Some of the favorite roles Maggie plays in the world are that of mother, wife, and social worker. She is especially interested in and passionate about the power of connection to heal, grow, and nurture the world and sees this power in all the ways she interacts with the world. Through her interactions with others, Maggie hopes to inspire everyone she meets to know and realize their own power to heal, grow, and nurture the world around them.
