What to expect – Processing Trauma in Play Therapy

Processing childhood adversity and trauma in play therapy is something all therapists take seriously. At times it can feel overwhelming for play therapists.

The Processing Trauma in Play Therapy workshop assists play therapists in deepening their knowledge of trauma and adverse childhood experiences and how to offer healing using play therapy.

This workshop teaches ways to identify and assess for childhood adversity and resilience factors. It explores different play therapy theories and how they address treatment of trauma.

Reflective learning activities challenge therapists to evaluate and identify what theory aligns with their views and practice.

Experiential learning teaches therapists techniques and core practices used in play therapy to foster resilience, hope and well-being in clients while overcoming difficult experiences.
