What to Expect- Crucial C’s & Personality Priorities

Crucial C’s & Personality Priorities are key concepts of Adlerian Play Therapy. They offer offers a simple, yet fascinating way to understanding others, their behaviors, and their general way of being.

Crucial C’s & Personality Priorities offer therapists a way to not only conceptualize clients, but also understand ourselves so we can enhance the ways that we intervene and work with others.

This play therapy training provides attendees knowledge of Crucial C’s & Personality Priorities as well as opportunities to apply them to conceptualization and treatment in play therapy. As a result, attendees will be able to, describe and assess for Crucial Cs and Personality Priorities, apply knowledge in case conceptualization through practice, and analyze how their own Crucial Cs and Personality Priorities impacts the work in the playroom and in their everyday life.

Crucial C’s & Personality Priorities Learning Objectives

After attending this workshop, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify Crucial C’s and describe how to assess for them using play therapy
  2. Identify Personality Priorities and describe how to assess for them using play therapy
  3. Apply knowledge of Crucial Cs and Personality Priorities to case conceptualization of and interventions with clients through practice
  4. Analyze how a play therapist’s own Crucial Cs and Personality Priorities impact the work they provide as a play therapist and in daily life
